My First Thank You Cards

Hey Everyone!

My sister in law, Erika is a photographer, owner and creator of Erika's Visions. Recently she asked me to create a few Thank You cards for her upcoming clients. I was really excited to create these for her because now I had a specific type of card to practice making. I also created one extra card for someone else since I was already creating. Each card grew distinctly better than the last. This also excites me, knowing that I will keep continuing to get better every time I create something new. Its all about experience!`

Card #1

Up first, I have this simple and cute Thank You card I created using Recollections white card stock and the purple card stock from their pastel pack. The "Thank You" stamp I used is a used wood mounted rubber stamp that came in the collection of stamps my hubby got me from eBay. This stamp is from Stampin' Up. I do not know what company the floral stamp comes from. The butterflies and "from E.V." are from my Hero Arts clear polymer alphabet set. All the coloring was done with my Recollections markers.

  Card #2

Here I created more of a landscape spring themed card. I started getting more creative with this card and I had a ton of fun! Not sure what company the flower pot, birdhouse, and butterflies are from. The little chicks and the fonts are from Hero Arts. Both the white and purple card stock are from Recollections. I used a combination of my markers and basic water color paints from Artist's Loft. The grassy background, birdhouse, and flower pots were all done with the paint. Everything else was done with my markers. All in all, I'm really proud of this card.

Card #3

They just get better every time! For this card here I mainly used some Stampin' Up stamps from the used set I got. Which were all the butterflies, as well as the "from". I honestly am not positive about the company this "Thank you" stamp came from. My card stock sheets both came from Recollections as do all my card stock at the moment. Furthermore, I scored big! In my garage we found some of my moms old scrapbooking supplies. A few stencils, decorative scissors, some cutter thingys, a simple punchout. I also realized I had a ton of little pearls, rhinestones, and clay pieces for nail art. When I worked for Claire's I used to buy those when they went on sale all the time. I rarely used them though. So I figured they would be perfect for my card crafting. All the little pearls around the center piece came from that. I cut the oval using one of the cutter things I found in that supply stash. I'm not sure if I'm using it right or even what they are. It allowed me to cut this oval pretty neatly though. After a few practice runs of course. I can't believe how well this card turned out!

Card #4

This card was an extra card that I made for a friend of mine. Again, I really love the way this card turned out. The ladybugs and flower clusters are Stampin' Up stamps as well as the sentiment. The birdhouse, I'm not sure. I used the water color paints for the background on this card as well and the markers for the little flowers.
Not too shabby for a beginner eh!
