What I'm Reading Wednesdays - WIRW-1

Good Afternoon Bookies!

I hope you're all having an amazing day! I decided I wanted to add a book related recurring blog post. Now that I've regained my love of reading. Shhhh... Don't tell anyone, but its been almost two years since I read a complete book. Lets hope that I do well in keeping up with both the reading and the posting about it. So starting today, every Wednesday I will post a "What I'm Reading Wednesday" or WIRW post with the correlating number to the post it is. I think. Or maybe I'll do it by date posted?  HAHA. I guess we will see. Thats the problem with being indecisive.
Okay! Now on to the book I'm reading.

What I'm reading:

  • Title:  FAEFEVER
  • Author:  Karen Marie Moning
  • Series:  Fever (I'm guessing here)
  • Place in series:  Book #3
  • Pages total:  313
  • Pages read:  17
  • Main Characters:  MacKayla a.k.a Mac Lane (Possibly O'Connor) & Jericho Barrons
  • Secondary/Other important characters: V'lane, The Lord Master, & possibly Ryoden
  • What I think/feel so far:  I just started this third book in the series and I haven't gotten very far. However, I love Jericho Barrons. My feelings about Mac are a little more difficult to discern. At first, in the first book, I didn't really care for her. By the second book, she began to grow on me. Especially now that she's hopped off of her high horse for a little while. I tend to prefer the awkward leading lady turned badass warrior. Or she can remain awkward. Thats cool too. I also prefer my heroines to be a little more edgy, more rebellious, the non damsel in distress type of woman. You know? And Mac is just a little too self centered and not necessarily my cup of tea. She's growing on me though. Anyways. I'm rambling. I don't want to spend too much time divulging the last two books I read. Instead I'll try to keep it short and just give you the jist of it. Mac can be a little conceited and selfish. However, she's teamed up with mysterious and dangerous, possibly even otherworldly bookstore owner, Jericho Barrons. Who has basically taught her everything she knows about what she is and how to survive. They are both looking for the Sinsar Dubh but for completely different reasons. There is no one that she can trust, yet, her fragile alliance with Barrons at least gives her someone to lean on.  I can totally tell that Barrons is into her. Yet, I sense that Mac is trying to keep her distance from him. I don't blame her. He's a very intimidating man. They have gone through A LOT in the last two books and I am so excited to see what happens in this one. This series has a lot to do with FAE and other types of supernatural beings, so of course its right up my alley. I was hoping for a little more romance between these two characters. I guess I'll have to wait and see.
Alright guys, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Right now, as I am writing this post, it is currently 2:40am. So I know that this blog post could probably be a hell of a lot better. Yet, I have spent most of the night getting caught up on the blog and I really just want to read a little bit more before having to go to bed. I'm that interested. Plus I love to read. I wanted to make sure I started this post trend on the blog and I totally didn't realize that tomorrow (well I guess today) is already Wednesday. Furthermore, I didn't want to have to wait a week to start this post. I'm not quite sure if I'll be updating my progress daily or not yet. This is still a new part of the blog for me and I'm not quite sure how it feels yet. Now that all that has been said. I'm going to sign off and get my head in this book. I can't wait to let you guys know whats going on and what I'm feeling!

Don't be a Shy Guy!
