Vintage Style Masculine Birthday Card
Happy Tuesday everyone! And Happy Valentine's Day. I hope you all had an amazing weekend.
I didn't too much but I did binge watch the whole Twilight Saga! Its been a while since I've seen them all.
Anyhow! I do have another birthday card for you guys today. My mom asked if I could make an extra card because she knows someone else with a February birthday.
So I made this masculine vintage style birthday card.
Starting off, I grabbed a brown pre-cut and scored card base that I had already prepped. It really helps to have an arsenal of pre-made card bases. For the background I used this vintage style typography paper that I got in a $5 pack from Michaels. I decorated the bottom of the background with a line of candles using a candle stamp I have and some Tim Holtz sienna brown ink. Colored in the flames of the candles with my Zig Clean Color marker in Bright Yellow and went over it with some Ranger Glossy Accents. Then I stamped out my "Happy Birthday" sentiment in some dark brown Colorbox ink and heat embossed it with clear powder. Before adhering the background down, I chose to finish off the front with a strip of gold washi tape at the bottom.
For the inside of the card I used the same patterned paper as a background. Stamped out two more candles and colored in the flames as well without the glossy accents. To make a space for writing, I used a piece of craft card stock. With the same brown inks as the front of the card, I used my "Sending Hugs" sentiment from Jillie Bean stamps at the top of the writing area. Finishing off the card.
I'm actually pretty proud of this card! Its simple but still very cool looking.
