Hi! Somebunny Loves You Easter Card
Hello my lovely readers!
Hope you're all having a Hoppy Day!
Easter is just around the corner & I finally made another festive card for it!
I used my new Dotted Rectangles die set to cut a piece of watercolor paper for the background. I wanted to try my hand at ink smooshing for this card, creating a watercolored, abstract style landscape for my little bunny to go. So that the bunny wouldn't just be floating in the air, I stamped out a little pathway for him to sit on instead.
On a separate piece of watercolor paper, I stamped out my bunny and colored it in using my Real Brush Pens. Added some Glossy Accents to the envelope. Once that was all dry I fussy cut the rabbit out. Added the die-cut "Hi" to my background & added a few button brads.
After I figured out where I wanted to put the bunny I added some Easter Egg stickers in the surrounding area. Then adhered the bunny to the top of the path with some foam tape for dimension. I didn't quite line it up properly so I added a flower to hide the gap. And it looks super cute!
For the interior I kept it pretty simple. Die-cut a piece of card stock for the background, smooshed more ink in the bottom right corner & added the sentiment to the top left corner. I did end up with a brownish smudge on the background but eh, what can ya do? LOL!
For this card I used:
- Recollections card stock in lavender & white.
- Artists Loft watercolor paper.
- Tim Holtz mini distress ink cubes in Peacock feather & Twisted Citron.
- Colorbox petal point "Enchantment" ink.
- Kuretake Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens.
- Jane Davenport paper pad.
- Recollections button brads.
- Sizzix Stephanie Bernard Dotted Rectangles die set.
- Recollections Moroccan embossing folder & dies.
- Ranger Glossy Accents.
- Somebunny Loves You bunny stamp.
- Easter Egg stickers.
- Recollections mini flowers.
- ATG-Gun & adhesive.
