Simple & Beautiful Polka Dot Birthday Card

Happy Saturday everyone. Today is the last of my families February birthdays and I have one more card to show you!

Its my mommas birthday today. I had a bit of a hard time coming up with an idea for her card. Only because I don't have any cherry stamps at the moment. And since her name is Cherry and she loves them as well, I definitely need to invest in some good ones and soon!

Check it out!

Simple Cocktail Birthday Card - Exterior
I decided to go simple with my moms card.
Starting with some plain white card stock as the base, I used some craft paper with gold polka dots from this Target Brand Valentine's paper pack I have for the background. I cut down some red card stock using one of my die-cuts, trimmed off the sides and cut it in half. Creating a banner for the "Happy Birthday" sentiment I heat embossed in gold. The paper looked a little too plain still, so I added a flourish above it and used Interference Red PearlEx on top of that. Then I wrapped some natural colored twine around the background paper and added a bow to the front. Once all of that was done I went ahead and adhered it to my card base. Needing a little embellishment, I found this super cute little 3D cocktail sticker to add to the front and a little red jewel for the middle of the bow.

For the interior I kept up with the simplicity and just added a matching strip of craft/gold card stock to one side. Layered that with a red die-cut piece for writing on. I used the same die-cut as the front of the card and just trimmed off the sides this time. To finish off the card I stamped out this adorable towered cake with a "Let's Party" sentiment next to it. And thats it!

I hope you guys enjoyed this simple yet beautiful card.
Thank you all for taking the time to view this post!
