Oh Happy Day Pink Shaker Card
Hey Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't posted in a little while. I've had a busy couple of weeks.
However, my grandmothers birthday is coming up so I needed to get some cards made. So I finally did. Which also gave me a chance to use my new Spirograph. It has been so long since I've had a chance to play with one. And let me just say that it was definitely harder to use than I remember but I got the hang of it after some practice. I also used this opportunity to finally make my first shaker card.
On the front, I used my Spirograph and some gel pens to create my background. Then I cut a circle opening to make a window space for my shaker to go. I used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens to color in the candles and then went in with some Yellow Colorbox ink around the candles to create a glow around the flames.
Once my image was all colored in, I added some sequins and glitter to the center of my image before placing down the clear shaker circle. I finished off the front with a "Oh Happy Day" sentiment from Stampology and added a few sequins around it.
For the interior I blended some pink Colorbox ink around the edges & stamped out a "Happy Birthday" sentiment towards the top. I did try to cover up the little smudges I made in a different color with the sentiment. You can still see it though. Either way, I am still really happy with my first attempt at a shaker card.
